Morse Code sent from The Queen Mary


This page contains a recording of morse code being sent from the Queen Mary (call sign GBTT) To Tuckerton Radio (call sign WSC) as she steamed away from New York for the last time at the end of her career. The recording was made by a radio amateur about 30 miles from NYC in 1967. The Queen Mary's tone is quite distinct from the replies and contains the "click" to the key presses and chirpy tone - a recognizable feature of her transmissions. Many thanks to Ken Mugridge of Canada for sending it in. There is more on the tape including a transmission from the SS United States which I may upload later.
